Managed IT

Managed IT services for NYC businesses

Proactive monitoring, a helpdesk your staff can actually reach, and someone who owns the relationship with every vendor in your stack — so problems get handled before they reach your customers.

Most small businesses in the city do not have an IT department. They have a person who is good with computers, a drawer of chargers, and a folder of passwords that nobody is sure is current. It works until the day it does not: the internet drops during a busy hour, a workstation will not start, the card reader stops taking cards, and everyone stops working while someone Googles the error.

Managed IT means that stops being your problem. We watch the equipment so failures are caught early, we answer the phone when something breaks, we come on site when hands are needed, and we deal with the internet provider and the software vendors so your staff do not sit on hold. The scope is written down, the documentation is kept current, and there is one number to call.

What’s included

Proactive monitoring
Your network, servers and critical devices are watched continuously, so a failing switch or a full disk is caught before it takes a workday with it.
Remote helpdesk
A real person to call when something breaks, with remote access to fix most issues without waiting for a visit.
On-site support
We are in the five boroughs. When a problem needs hands on the equipment, someone comes.
Vendor management
We deal with your ISP, your POS provider and your software vendors so your staff do not have to sit on hold.
Patching and updates
Operating systems, firmware and security updates applied on a schedule rather than whenever someone remembers.
Documentation
Your network, credentials and equipment inventory written down and kept current — so you are never held hostage by what one person happens to know.

How it works

  1. We audit what you haveA walkthrough of your equipment, network, accounts and vendors, and an honest account of what is healthy and what is not.
  2. We fix what is urgentAnything actively putting you at risk gets addressed first, before we talk about ongoing work.
  3. We take over the day-to-dayMonitoring, patching, helpdesk and vendor calls move to us on a defined scope.
  4. We keep improving itRegular check-ins on what broke, what is aging out and what should be replaced before it fails.

Who it’s for

We install and support this across a range of operational environments throughout New York City.

Typically: Corporate Workspaces, Retail & Showrooms, Medical & Dental Clinics, Hospitality & Restaurants, Education Facilities and Industrial & Logistics.

Common questions

Do you replace our current IT person?

Not necessarily. Some clients bring us in to take over entirely; others keep an internal person and use us for infrastructure, after-hours coverage and the vendor work nobody wants. We are happy either way.

What size business do you work with?

Mostly small and mid-sized businesses across NYC — offices, clinics, restaurants, retail and warehouses. If you have more equipment than anyone has time to look after, that is the situation we are built for.

Do you charge per device or per user?

It depends on the environment, so we scope it after the audit rather than quoting a number that turns out to be wrong. The audit itself costs you nothing.

Talk to us about your space

Tell us what you have and what is not working. We walk the site, tell you what is worth keeping, and quote the work. The walk and the quote cost nothing.
